Oscars Night

It was my 3rd Annual Oscars Night last Sunday and it turned out really great :) I always worry all my hard work will go to naught and that no one will show up, and this years party started out a little rocky when my 3 volunteers (paparazzi, bouncer/rope lifter, and backup paparazzi) cancelled. I always ask men to do it, because their wives are enjoying the party, but life happened and they all had to back out.

The good news? I have an amazing husband and he did all the jobs on Sunday so that I wouldn't get stressed out, and then our paparazzi showed up later to take the action shots during the party :)

This years theme was 1920s {my favorite era} and almost everyone dressed up in costume! It was a lot of fun, and I got to make new friends as some of the guests were girls I barely knew. This is what parties are for, so I was excited to know them better :)

Here are some pictures from the night:

You can't really see the whole chandelier, but I tied paper circle strands onto it to fancy it up :)

And there is a little taste of the Oscars party! It was super fun, and we were finally able to actually WATCH the Oscars this year which was fun, and we all had ballots and kept count of how many we had right. In the end, the was a head-to-head race with Merilee and Brittany, but in the end Merilee won :)

The winner won a book clutch, and apparently Mer was so excited about it being a book clutch that she actually did "research" so that she could win, lol. Looks like it payed off! (p.s. there are no pictures of Mer because she specifically asked not to take them because she felt frumpy cause she just had her baby, lol}

Bailey/Ross/Green Crafting

Ashley, Charley, Mom and Tyler came up to spend the weekend with us Logan people. I know everyone was bummed that snow boarding fell through, but I was really excited to do craft time instead!!! I taught the girls how to make fabric flowers and poof balls. Though some were a tad frustrated at times, I think everyone got the hang of it and they turned out great!!!! Thanks for letting me share ladies. :)

These are going to look so cute as Easter decorations in my apartment!!! :)

Ross Family

Ashley and I celebrated our birthdays last week with all of the family. Fun to see everyone and get to share our special days. I was spoiled with gifts. Grandma made me some very cute bookmarks, The Ross family gave me way cute and comfy pjs and a coupon to get my nails done, and an awesome shoulder bag from Guatamala! Mom and dad gave me some sieve spoons, candle holders, and a CAMCORDER! Woot! Now we can video baby girl when she gets here!

Jordan and I got to spend my birthday, just the two of us in Logan. No school and no work!
Jordan made french toast and bacon for my birthday breakfast!

He read to me out of our book and then had me open my presents! He sure went all out. I love my presents!

We went for a walk on campus and took some pictures and made a Rocky video to send to Elder Ross of Jordan running up the Old Main stairs! Notice that my hair is done with the hot curlers that I got for my birthday!

We are so in love :)

I worked on a puzzle while Jordan cooked up some fine Cambodian dinner.

And of course we ended the birthday night with cake and ice cream! What a perfect day!

Ross Family

So its my birthday month!!! yay!!! Only 8 more days til I hit the big 23. I'm very much looking forward to celebrating with family and friends. And its a big gift month for me since its Valentine's day too! It will be our first Valentine's day together so it should be fun! We are continuing with his parent's tradition on doing sealings on Valentines day. What better way to celebrate love?! I made Valentine sugar cookies today and got to use my cute Valentine's sprinkles!

I also had a little extra time while Jordan took a nap so I made these cute tissue paper puff balls that I saw at a baby shower I went to and thought they were way cute! Pretty pleased with how my first attempt turned out! Thinking of using them for decoration at my baby shower or maybe even using them to decorate baby's room.

On Friday we got all dressed up and went to our stake Valentine's dinner and dance. We had pulled pork taco salad, and then brownies and ice cream. Yum! Then we danced for a while and got our picture taken! (Felt like prom) We both had a blast though and enjoyed getting all dressed up for each other. :)

Jordan is lots busier this semester. He is taking 9 credits online and is headed in the software engineering direction. Like father, like son. :) He is also working 30 hrs a week at Jiffy Lube and doing his best to keep up on maintenance at Old Farm. We are so blessed to have so many great opportunities.
I am keeping busy with school and work. In my spare time I have been working extra hard to be a great wife. I have recently started trying some new recipes and we have really enjoyed them. It makes me feel good to have a hot yummy meal waiting for Jordan when he gets home from a long day at work! Feel free to pass along any recipes you guys really like. This is a picture of the black bean and salsa chicken!

We have finally started making friends in our ward and that has been a lot of fun! We've had people over for games, movies, and dinner. We are sad we will have to leave all of our new friends in just 3 months but I'm sure we will find new ones. :) Plus we'll have all of our family and a new baby to play with!

Baby girl seems to be doing well. She is still measuring at the week she is so that's great. And the doctor said she's got a good heartbeat. Can't believe just 11 1/2 more weeks and she'll be here. I'm getting excited for my upcoming baby showers. I love a good party. :)

Well that's probably about it for the Ross family. Love you all!
